Welcome to the AT-C³ Survey on Skills and Technology Needs in the Semiconductor Sector
The Austrian Chips Competence Center (AT-C³), funded under the European Chips Act, acts as a one-stop-shop for companies and research institutions along the Electronic and Software Based Systems (ESBS) value chain. With a strong focus on SMEs and start-ups, AT-C³ supports innovation through services such as chip design, prototyping, testing, financial advisory, and skills development – always with the goal of increasing Europe’s technological sovereignty.
A central part of AT-C³'s mission is to provide tailored training programmes that respond to real industry needs. These training programmes, to be launched in 2026, will span from Bachelor to PhD level and include flexible microcredential formats. In order to ensure that the training offering is relevant and impactful, this survey is being conducted in close cooperation with our research and industrial partners as well as other European Chips Competence Centres.
What this survey is about:
This survey aims to identify current and emerging training needs in various technology and specialization areas. It is structured as follows:
- A brief set of general questions about your background and expertise.
- A selection page, where you can choose your main areas of interest.
We kindly ask you to rate the relevance of each topic in terms of its usefulness for your current or future work.
The results will help shape the content and delivery formats of future AT-C³ training programmes. They also inform the development of training modules at the European level through collaborations with initiatives such as GreenChips-EDU, METIS, and the European Chips Skills Academy.
There are 26 questions in this survey.
